Africa Imports has issued a voluntary recall of its Organic Moringa Leaf Powder due to potential Salmonella contamination. This recall affects products sold nationwide through their website, africaimports.com.

Products Affected:

  • Organic Moringa Leaf Powder packaged in 1-kilogram boxes.
  • All products purchased after June 5, 2025, are included in this recall.

Reason for Recall:

The recall was initiated after some of the Moringa powder tested positive for Salmonella. Salmonella can cause serious infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare cases, it can lead to severe conditions such as arterial infections, endocarditis, or arthritis.

What Consumers Should Do:

  • Immediately stop using the affected product.
  • Dispose of the product safely.
  • Confirm disposal by replying to the recall notification email or contacting Africa Imports directly.
  • If the product was further distributed, notify your customers and include a copy of this notice.
