SKS Copack, based in Cerritos, CA, has issued a recall for various specialty beverages due to potential contamination with Salmonella. This organism can cause serious infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may experience symptoms like fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

  • Royal Gold: Dutch Mocha Cappuccino, French Vanilla Cappuccino
  • Boba Time: Italian Yogurt Powder, Coconut Powder, Pistachio Powder
  • Fanale: Ube-Taro
  • Denda: Milk Ice Cream Mix

The affected products were distributed across multiple states including California, Utah, Idaho, New York, New Jersey, Arizona, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Texas, Ohio, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, Washington, Oregon, Wisconsin, Nevada, Virginia, Connecticut, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Minnesota through cafes, restaurants, and direct delivery.

Reason for Recall:

The recall was initiated following a notification from a supplier, California Dairies, Inc., about a voluntary recall of low heat nonfat dry milk powder due to positive Salmonella results from routine testing.

What Consumers Should Do:

Consumers who have purchased these products are advised to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. For further information, consumers can contact SKS Copack at (562) 404-8158, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm PST.

No illnesses have been reported to date. SKS Copack is working closely with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration during the ongoing investigation.
