Berlin Seeds is recalling 950 lbs of Alfalfa Sprouting Seed due to potential contamination with E. coli and Salmonella. This recall affects products sold from February 13, 2026, to August 23, 2026, in various states across the U.S.

Products Affected:

  • Berlin Seeds branded Alfalfa Sprouting Seed
  • Packaged in 1/4 lb., 1/2 lb., 1 lb., 5 lb., and 50 lb. sizes
  • 5 lb. and 50 lb. packages bear lot code SAL2-24JB

Reason for Recall:

The seeds may be contaminated with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli and/or Salmonella, posing a serious health risk. One illness has been reported.

Consumer Guidance:

  • Do not use, sprout, or consume the affected seeds.
  • Dispose of seeds in a sealed bag and clean any surfaces they contacted.
