Everything Sprouts, LLC, based in Minneapolis, MN, has issued a recall for specific lots of their Alfalfa Sprouts due to potential contamination with E. coli and Salmonella. This recall affects products distributed between May 27, 2026, and August 21, 2026, to grocery stores and wholesalers in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Affected Products:
- Everything Sprouts and Calco branded Alfalfa Sprouts in 5oz plastic containers with bar codes: 860014523113, 860014523120, 850079470149.
- Lot numbers: 222, 223, 225, 226, 230.
- Also included are Everything Sprouts Crunchy Protein Sprout Mix 5oz cups and Zesty Garlic Mix cups with the same lot numbers.
Reason for Recall:
The recall was initiated due to the potential presence of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli and Salmonella, which can cause serious health issues. To date, 55 illnesses have been reported.
