Publix Recalls GreenWise Organic Berries for E. coli Risk

This is a Class I recall — the most serious type. Products covered by this recall may cause serious health consequences or death.
Publix has issued a recall for all lots of its GreenWise Organic Frozen Blueberries and Whole Mixed Berries due to potential contamination with E. coli O145. This action follows a previous recall of specific lot codes and is being taken as a precautionary measure.

- GreenWise Organic Whole Mixed Berries, 48-ounce, UPC 41415-12153
The recalled products were distributed to Publix stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Consumers are advised not to consume these products and to either discard them or return them to the store for a full refund.
Health Risk:
E. coli O145 can cause severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, and vomiting. While most people recover within a week, it can lead to serious complications like hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), especially in vulnerable groups such as young children and the elderly.
