Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. has expanded its recall of frozen chicken and pork products due to potential glass contamination. This recall now includes an additional 33,617,045 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) and not ready-to-eat (NRTE) items, totaling nearly 37 million pounds.

The affected products include chicken and pork fried rice, ramen, and shu mai dumplings produced between October 21, 2024, and February 26, 2026. These items were sold under the brand names Ajinomoto, Kroger, Ling Ling, Tai Pei, and Trader Joe’s, with best-by dates from February 28, 2026, through August 19, 2027. Look for establishment numbers P-18356, P-18356B, or P-47971 inside the USDA mark of inspection.

This recall was prompted by consumer complaints of glass found in the products, traced back to a vegetable ingredient, specifically carrots. Although no injuries have been reported, consumers should not consume these products. Instead, they should discard them or return them to the place of purchase.

These products were distributed nationwide and some were exported to Canada and Mexico. Consumers are advised to check their freezers for these items.
