WinCo Foods Recalls Salsa Bean Dip Trays for Pest Concerns
WinCo Foods, based in Boise, ID, has issued a recall for its Salsa Bean Dip Trays due to the inclusion of recalled peperoncini from G.L. Mezzetta. The recall was initiated after a video from another grocery chain raised concerns about potential pest inclusion in the peperoncini.
Products Affected:
- WinCo Foods Salsa Bean Dip Tray Express, UPC 2-67173-#####, 54oz
- WinCo Foods Salsa Bean Dip Tray, 16 Inch Catering Tray, UPC 2-67240-#####, 104oz
These products have “Best If Used By” dates from August 14, 2026, to September 25, 2026, and were distributed in WinCo Foods retail stores across AZ, CA, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, and WA.
Reason for Recall:
The recall is due to potential pest inclusion in the peperoncini used in the dip trays. Although no pests were found in the WinCo Foods products and no complaints have been received, the recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure customer safety.
