Utz Recalls Zapp's and Dirty Potato Chips for Salmonella Risk

Utz Quality Foods, LLC has announced a voluntary recall of select varieties of Zapp’s and Dirty potato chips due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recall affects products distributed nationwide.

Affected Products:

• Zapp's Bayou Blackened Ranch Potato Chips (1.5oz, 2.5oz, 8oz)
• Dirty Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips (2oz)
• Zapp's Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips (1.5oz, 60ct)
• Dirty Maui Onion Potato Chips (2oz)
• Zapp's Big Cheezy Potato Chips (2.5oz, 8oz)
• Dirty Sour Cream and Onion Potato Chips (2oz)

Consumers should check the UPC, Best By Date, and Batch codes on their packages to see if they are affected. The specific codes are listed in the recall notice.

Reason for Recall:

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a seasoning ingredient, sourced from California Dairies, Inc., might contain Salmonella. Although the seasoning batches tested negative before use, the recall is being conducted out of an abundance of caution.

Consumer Action:

Health Risk Information:
