Taylor Fresh Foods has issued a recall for several products containing jalapeños due to potential Salmonella contamination. This precautionary measure follows a recall by Coast Citrus Distributors, which supplied the jalapeños.
The affected products include dips, salsas, guacamole, and more, distributed under various brand names such as Trader Joe’s and Freshness Guaranteed. These items were sold in multiple states including Alabama, Florida, Illinois, and Texas, with 'Best If Used By' dates up to August 16, 2026.
This recall is part of an ongoing investigation by the FDA and CDC into a multistate outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to fresh jalapeños. The source of the contamination has been traced to a grower in Sinaloa, Mexico.
