Recall of Frozen Pork Loins for Import Reinspection Issue

Mays Chemical Company of Puerto Rico is recalling approximately 46,315 pounds of frozen, raw pork boneless loins. These products were not presented for import reinspection upon entering the United States.

Products Affected:

• Variable weight cardboard boxes with a Canadian mark of inspection and export mark “Cert. No. Cert 336662”.
• Labels indicate “FROZEN PORK LOIN, BONELESS, CENTER 520MM” inside plastic liners.
• Bears Canada establishment “Canada 12” inside the Canadian mark of inspection.

These products were distributed to Puerto Rican distributors, institutions, restaurants, and federal establishments for further processing.

Reason for Recall:

The issue was identified during routine inspection activities. The products were not presented for the required import reinspection.

Consumer Guidance:

Consumers and establishments should not consume or serve these products. They should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase. No illnesses have been reported, but those concerned about potential illness should contact a healthcare provider.
