Recall Alert: Al Kabeer Swai Fish Products Due to Import Violation

Shan Distribution Network, Inc., based in Carol Stream, Illinois, is recalling approximately 5,084 pounds of frozen Siluriformes breaded Swai fish fillet and stick products. These products were produced in the United Arab Emirates, a country not authorized to export Siluriformes fish to the United States.
The recall affects the following Al Kabeer products, which were produced in December 2025 and have use-by dates in June 2027:
- 13.75-oz. boxes of spicy “Zing Fish Fillets Breaded Partially Cooked Swai Fish Fillets”
- 10.58-oz. boxes of “Fish Sticks Breaded Swai Fish”
- 330-g boxes of “Breaded Fish Fillets”
These items lack an establishment number and a USDA mark of inspection, and were distributed to retail locations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
This issue was identified during routine inspection activities. No illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with these products. However, consumers are advised not to consume them. Instead, they should dispose of the products or return them to the place of purchase.
