TBC Distribution Corporate has announced a recall of Lucky Foods brand Cinnamon Powder due to potential lead contamination. Consumers are advised not to consume this product.

  • Packaged in vacuum or modified atmosphere with a brown label

Reason for Recall:

The recall was initiated after the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets found elevated levels of lead in the product. Lead exposure can affect nearly every bodily system, with risks increasing with prolonged exposure. Children are particularly vulnerable, facing potential developmental issues and learning disorders. Adults may experience kidney dysfunction and hypertension.

Distribution:

The affected cinnamon powder was distributed to various retailers, including grocery stores and restaurants, across several states: California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Texas.

Consumer Action:
