Lidl US has announced a recall of its Vitasia Asian Style Wok Spice Mix due to potential Salmonella contamination. This recall affects the 1.58 oz (45g) spice mix with UPC 4335619355491, Lot #155846, and a Best Before Date of June 2028.
The product was distributed to Lidl US stores in Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia between July 24, 2026, and August 10, 2026. It is packaged in a plastic container with a purple lid.
This recall was initiated after routine testing found Salmonella in a sample. While no illnesses have been reported, Salmonella can cause serious infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
