Indus Foods, LLC, operating as Gangothri Foods in Austin, Texas, is recalling around 1,626 pounds of ready-to-eat pickled goat and chicken products. These items were produced without proper inspection.
The affected products include:
- 8-oz. glass jars of “Gangothri Goat Pickle”
- 8-oz. glass jars of “Gangothri Gongura Goat Pickle”
- 8-oz. glass jars of “Gangothri Chicken Pickle”
- 8-oz. glass jars of “Gangothri Gongura Chicken Pickle”
These products, lacking a USDA inspection mark, were produced between January 28, 2025, and May 6, 2026, and have a two-year shelf life. They were distributed to restaurants, retail locations, and sold online nationwide.
The recall was initiated following FSIS surveillance activities. No illnesses have been reported, but consumers should contact a healthcare provider if they have concerns about reactions.
Consumers are advised not to consume these products. Restaurants and distributors should not serve or sell them. The products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.
