Food To Live, based in Brooklyn, NY, has issued a recall for its Organic Moringa Leaf Powder and Organic Supergreens Powder Mix due to potential Salmonella contamination. These products were sold nationwide through various retail and online platforms.
Affected Products:
- Organic Moringa Leaf Powder in 8 oz, 1 lb, 2 lb, 4 lb, 8 lb, 16 lb, and 44 lb bags.
- Organic Supergreens Powder Mix in 8 oz, 1 lb, 1.5 lb, 3 lb, 6 lb, and 12 lb bags.
- Only packages with lot codes starting with “SO-69006” and ending with “SO-72558” are affected.
Reason for Recall:
The recall was initiated after the FDA found a supplier lot of organic moringa powder tested positive for Salmonella, linked to an outbreak of salmonellosis. Multiple illnesses have been reported across several states.
Health Risks:
