BCI Foods Recalls Chicken Noodle Soup for Missing Inspection

BCI Foods, Inc. is recalling approximately 4,300 pounds of chicken noodle soup imported from Canada due to missing import reinspection. This recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The affected product is the 10.5-oz can of "tasty KITCHEN Chicken Noodle Condensed Soup PRODUCT OF CANADA" with a best by date of "2028 FE 04" and lot code "5 9 2 26 035." The cans bear the Canadian establishment number "EST. 142" and were distributed to food banks and pantry locations in Oklahoma.

The recall was initiated after BCI Foods notified FSIS that the soup was not presented for the required FSIS import reinspection. There have been no confirmed reports of illness or injury linked to this product. However, consumers are advised not to consume the soup and should either discard it or return it to the place of purchase.

FSIS is actively ensuring that the recall is effective and that the product is removed from consumer access. A retail distribution list will be available on the FSIS website.
