“Almond Despair, Not so Joyous” “Back label, Ingredients”

Willy Pete’s Chocolate Company LLC has issued a recall for their Almond Despair chocolate bars due to undeclared almonds. The ingredient label incorrectly lists macadamia nuts instead of almonds, posing a risk to those with almond allergies.

  • Weight: 2 oz
  • UPC: 0 987261 5

These chocolate bars were distributed to stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and South Carolina, including:

  • Curioporium, Southington, CT
  • Puckerbutt Pepper Co., Fort Mill, SC
  • Army Barracks, Saugus, MA

Reason for Recall:

The recall was initiated because the ingredient statement failed to declare almonds, which could lead to serious or life-threatening allergic reactions for individuals with almond allergies.
