Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods, LLC has announced a recall of certain Decorated Pound Cakes due to the presence of an undeclared soy allergen. The recall affects cakes that used a soy-containing agent to prevent sticking, which was not listed on the product label.

These cakes were sold at Kroger Mid-Atlantic locations in Virginia and West Virginia, and Ukrop's Market Hall in Richmond, VA. The affected products have a Best By Date of December 15, 2025.
Reason for Recall:
The recall was issued because the cakes contain soy, a known allergen, which was not declared on the label. Soy allergies can cause reactions ranging from mild symptoms like hives and itching to severe anaphylaxis.
