Silvestri Sweets Inc. is recalling certain Choceur Holiday Barks due to undeclared allergens. This recall affects two products: Cookie Butter Holiday Bark and Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon Holiday Bark, which may contain undeclared pecans and wheat, respectively. These allergens could pose serious or life-threatening risks to individuals with pecan or wheat allergies.
Affected Products:
- Cookie Butter Holiday Bark: 5 oz. Choceur branded stand-up pouch bags, lot #29225, best by date 05/2026.
- Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon Holiday Bark: 5 oz. Choceur branded stand-up pouch bags, lot #29225, best by date 08/2026.
Both products were distributed nationwide through Aldi stores. No illnesses have been reported so far.
Reason for Recall:
The recall was initiated after a packaging error led to undeclared allergens in these products. An investigation revealed a temporary breakdown in the production and packaging process.
