Reser's Fine Foods, Inc., based in Halifax, N.C., has issued a recall for approximately 5,300 pounds of a ready-to-eat product mislabeled as pasta salad. The recall is due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, specifically egg and milk, which are not listed on the product label.
The affected product is labeled as “Molly’s Kitchen California Style Pasta Salad” and may actually contain chicken salad. It was produced on June 11, 2026, and is packaged in 5-lb. plastic tubs with a “USE BY JUL/16/26 430” date. The establishment number “P-00874” is printed on the side of the tub. These items were distributed to foodservice locations in Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, New Jersey, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
This recall was initiated after the company discovered the labeling error. No adverse reactions have been reported, but consumers who have purchased this product are advised not to consume it. Instead, they should dispose of the product or return it to the place of purchase.
