Prime Food Recalls Lava Buns for Undeclared Milk Allergen

Prime Food Processing LLC has announced a recall of their Lava Buns due to an undeclared milk allergen. This recall affects two varieties of dessert buns that may pose a risk to individuals with milk allergies.
Affected Products:
- Lava Bun with Salted Egg Yolk, UPC #97903705873, packaged in an orange pouch, Lot Code Range: 25092-25318, Expiration Range: 07/26-03/27.
- Lava Bun with Green Tea Flavor, UPC #97803705883, packaged in a bright lime green pouch, Lot Code Range: 25092-25318, Expiration Range: 07/26-03/27.
These products were distributed to Asian grocery stores in multiple states including AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WI between April 2, 2025, and November 14, 2025.
Reason for Recall:
The recall was initiated because the packaging failed to declare milk in the allergen statement, which is required by the FDA. The milk is derived from unsalted butter listed in the ingredient statement. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported so far.
