PepsiCo Recalls Gatorade for Undeclared Yellow Dyes
PepsiCo Inc. is recalling certain 28 oz. Gatorade products due to undeclared Yellow No. 6 and/or Yellow No. 5 dyes. This recall affects 122,021 cases distributed across several states.
Affected Products:
- Gatorade Lemon Lime
- Gatorade Lemon Lime Zero
- Gatorade Orange
- Gatorade Orange Zero
The products were distributed in the following states: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, WA, WI.
Reason for Recall:
The recall was initiated because the products contain undeclared Yellow No. 6 and/or Yellow No. 5, which are food color additives. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to these dyes may risk serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
What Consumers Should Do:
