- Various weight packages of "DAISY BRAND Meat Products HEADCHEESE" with a "USE BY" date of "MAR 26 2026."
- Packages with a red sticker indicating "HOT" and the same use-by date.
These products bear the establishment number "EST. 21406" and were distributed to retail delis in Illinois and Indiana.
Reason for Alert:
The alert follows an investigation into a localized outbreak of Listeria in Illinois, affecting three people. Testing of an unopened headcheese sample confirmed the presence of Listeria.
Consumer Guidance:
Consumers are advised not to consume these products. They should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase. Thorough cleaning of refrigerators is recommended to prevent cross-contamination.
